The project leader must have five years' proven experience in in the field of events organisation and communication consultancy; The purpose of the contract is to provide support and technical assistance in the organisation of communication and information activities addressed to relevant media and general public that often have high political and strategic importance and require complex logistics. In general terms, the team leader and the designated team will perform two major functions: Strategic advice, consultancy and support services in the field of communication and information; Management of associated tasks, through contracting and coordination of third party providers, notably in relation to the organisation of events. Types of activities to be carried out to achieve the communication objectives can include:
  • Assistance and support with public relations activities and media relations & strategy:
  • Presence at the venue throughout the whole duration of the event if required during the events/ implementation of tasks
  • Oversee the smooth running of the whole event including liaising with venue operators, proper catering setup, staff coordination, and timing of  event and dismantling.

  • Implementation of any logistic tasks - delivery of PR/ printed materials; charges incurred for the logistics
  • Preparation of communication material - graphic design and editing, adapting existing communications material, printing.
  • Photographic services
  • Catering services
  • Organisation of exhibitions: leasing of material, installations, assembly and disassembly.

The Senior Experts should also have: Proven experience in successfully setting up and panning international and/or national visibility, communication and awareness raising campaigns. Demonstrable competency and capacity to design and operationalise an advocacy and communication strategy; Specific professional experience At least 6 years: professional experience in the field of communication and visibility, including and specifically related to visibility of development aid evaluations; At least 3 years: of experience in designing and implementing communication projects/programmes. Qualifications and skills:
  • Master's Degree level in marketing or, in its absence, equivalent professional experience – at least 5 years in the Agro-food, namely winemaking/spirit producing sector above the general professional experience duration required below.
  • Excellent knowledge of English, oral and written.
General professional experience:
  • Minimum 8 years (10 or more years would be an asset) of working experience on issues related to marketing of food products, namely wine/spirit or similar beverages, either in the private or public sector.
Specific professional experience:
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in the field of marketing/promotion activities in the agro-food, namely winemaking/spirit producing industry.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in or with inter-professional associations.
  • Experience in the field of Intellectual Property Rights in the wines and spirit sector.
The following additional qualifications would be an asset:
  • Experience working with the Armenian wines and spirit sector.
  • Command of the Armenian or Russian language.
    • All experts must be independent and free from conflicts of interest in the responsibilities they take on.

Qualifications and skills: • Master's Degree level in agronomy/agricultural engineering/food processing & food, namely winemaking/spirit producing industry or, in its absence, equivalent professional experience – at least 5 years in the Agro-food, namely winemaking/spirit producing/marketing sector above the general professional experience duration fixed below. • Excellent knowledge of English, oral and written. • Command of the Armenian or Russian language. General professional experience • At least 5 years of professional experience related to marketing in the Agro-food, namely winemaking/spirit producing sector or a related sector. Specific professional experience: • Knowledge of the Agro-food, namely winemaking/spirit producing sector in Armenia. • Knowledge of the Armenian legal system in relation to Intellectual Property Rights. The following additional qualifications would be an asset: • Experience working in the agro-food, namely winemaking/spirit producing sector in Armenia or in a neighbouring country. • Prior experience with rebranding of goods. The expert will be working an estimated 6 days per month until March 2019, starting immediately, and must be based in Cairo. Duties:
  • event planning and management
  • liaising with partners and suppliers, negotiating prices, forming communications plans

Specific professional experience
  • Proven experience in participation in the organisation of public events for large audience in at least three events;
  • At least one year of experience in outlining communication strategy, launching and creating communication campaigns and social media outreach.
